K-Lyric birth name Keri Monae Ford (born July, 1983) in Brooklyn New York. She is a Spoken Word Artist and Writer. K-Lyric started writing at the age 11. She fell in love with writing from not being able to express herself to people growing up. It started out as journal entries, to short stories and drifted into poetry. Ms K-Lyric has done several open mic’s and been seen in various hot spots in NYC such as; Chocolate Monkey, Crash Mansion, Foot Prints, Santos Party House, Avena Lounge in LIU College, Notice Lounge and many other spots in NYC. She had the luxury of performing for some authors at a book signing in a small church in Jacksonville Florida. She has also been a special guest on blogtalkradio.com hesayshesay an online radio show that covers various mature adult topics and issues. She was also featured on the Jay Everyday Show. Her poetry consists of a variety of topics from life, to love, to sex, and every day struggles and political issues that go on in today’s world. Her upcoming project is to release a poetic book of poetry that leaves you with a story line with another talented women Kaditou Bah a Model, Singer, Dancer, Actress, and Writer. She is also recently writing for a upcoming online “Christian Magazine” called “So Divine Magazine” She has written fashion blogs for websites like “Haszel.com” a womens custom clothing line. She written a fashion article for the fashion magazine “ALEX”, articles for “Promience Magazine” and working on articles for “Nubia Magazine” as well you will be able to catch some of her poetry in the magazine as well. Ms Lyric will be looking to work with other magazines and one day start her own magazine. K-Lyric plans to later on branch out and take her career in the direction of film writing. She is all about exposing her creative talent.

K-Lyric is known for her souful words that will move anyone, but besides her love for writing she also is very invovled. Giving back to the community is one of K-Lyric’s favorite things to do. She is apart of three big organizations Struggles Corp a women’s non-profit organization, L.A.C.E.S. another womens non-profit organization and NY Cares. She spends her free time helping and volunteering with the Senior Citizen, HIV/AIDS Patience, Homeless, Disabled, and Children. K-Lyric plays games with the elderly and HIV/AIDS Patience, Read with the kids, feeds the homeless. Helps to plan fundraiser and other various events to help give back to her commuinty. Ms K-Lyric is all about positive movement and making change in the world. She consider herself a very poetic, eccentric, and neo-soul type of women. Her heart goes over and beyond for people. There is so much more to come for Ms Lyric’s future please be on the look out for what is in store
